DisGovr Canada GovTech Summit

The event will be held at Ryerson DMZ HQ at 10 Dundas Street – Suite 600 on October 1, 2019 from 9am-5pm.

The focus of the event is to showcase up and coming, Ontario based, Artificial Intelligence Companies to a public sector audience. The ultimate goal of the event is to provide the Ontario public sector with a sense of the capacity of AI and how it might be used to create efficiencies and improved security for the province of Ontario.

The event is divided into two aspects, the morning pitch series, and the afternoon workshops.

The pitch series and keynote will occur from 9am-Noon and it will feature a short keynote from our sponsor Infosys Public Sector and 12 pitches from Ontario AI companies. Each of the 12 companies will have 3 minutes to pitch their company and solutions to the audience. They will then have 2 minutes each to respond to questions from the audience. The idea is to give the audience a sense of what each company does and how they fit into the public sector so that meaningful networking can occur in between pitches and during the networking lunch.

In the afternoon, the Government of Canada, the Government of Ontario and the City of Toronto have been invited to host workshops to educate industry participants on how to do business with their various jurisdictions.
